Scope and Contents

Collection contains subject files from the office of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs (formerly Vice President for Finance and currently Vice President for Finance and Administration) during the tenures of James E. Todd and Thomas Repp; and files from the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer during the tenure of William Decatur. The files document all aspects of the office, with an emphasis on fiscal and administrative affairs. Significant information on the sale of general revenue bonds in 1988 (including some material on the 1971 bond issue) and 1990 to fund the Glass Bowl renovations, Greek housing, and the Student Recreation Center, is included. The series also contains information of land acquisitions of the Dorr Street Hodge addition. It also contains information on the Administrative Computing Committee; Ohio Board of Regents activities; the UT Foundation; the Inter-University Council of Ohio; and general letters, reports and memoranda outgoing from the office. Since the merger of the University of Toledo and the Medical College of Ohio (MCO) in 2006, MCO’s correspondence and papers are beginning to appear in the collection. The files are arranged alphabetically.

Conditions Governing Access

Collection is open for research. Materials may be accessed by request at the Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections on the fifth floor of the William S. Carlson Library on the main campus of the University of Toledo. Materials do not circulate.
